Solo Mission

Hey folks,

It’s been such an odd few weeks that I just realized it’s been about a month since I posted!

As we are still deep in the trenches of the pandemic, I wanted to send you all a general message and update.  While Vulpine has unfortunately experienced some delays as a result of Coronavirus, so far my editor and I have remained healthy, and hope to get back to editing soon.  Long story short, Vulpine obviously has other books, and there have been some delays due to those that have impacted my editor, but they should be resolved soon.  But again, most importantly, we are all healthy, and I sincerely hope you and your family/friends are the same!  I’ll continue to keep you regularly posted about the status of editing, and am always open to questions you might have!

In the meantime, ...

It’s all part of training… (Coronavirus update)

Hey friends and readers,

Well, it looks like a lot of the U.S. and world are going to be on lockdown for a while, and though this can be a stressful and trying time, I just want to let all of you know that we’ll weather this storm together soon enough.  Focus on good hygiene and avoiding unnecessary contact, following the recommendations of health officials.

Some of you may find this pandemic very alarming, and though I can’t know all of your stressors and concerns due to the virus, be it your health, money, friends and family, or even something else, I’m confident you can manage it.  Just take a deep breath (maybe 6 feet away from everyone else), and stay calm...

In like a lion…

Hey friends and readers,

Well, things haven’t gotten any quieter since the last post, have they?

I hope you are all remaining healthy, and if you happen to need to stay indoors, I hope you can do so comfortably with some good reading material.  In case one of the many topics du jour has not already taken all of your attention, I wanted to update you on the status of Book II:

I’ve been in contact with my editor over at Vulpine, and while she’s been very busy with several books and the upcoming London Book Fair (although I suppose we’ll see what happens with so many conferences and events being cancelled recently), she’s eager to dive fully into Book II!  Things have been hectic with everything going on recently, so we probably won’t be going at 100% until the end of March, but we’re both v...

Fall in love with a book!

Hey friends and readers,

It certainly seems like 2020 is going to be an eventful year!  And despite all the headlines making the rounds, from the upcoming US presidential election to the Coronavirus, I hope you all have stayed safe, healthy, and happy so far.  I can say it’s been busy over here, but there isn’t much I can say about Book II just yet.

In the meantime, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, I hope you find the perfect match: sci-fi, non-fiction, suspense… maybe even romance.  Whatever it is that suits you!  Curl up with a book you enjoy.  And share it with your loved ones, whether they are significant others, family, or friends!  Personally, I might recommend a certain ‘mercenary’ novel, one that can serve a number of individual interests, but I might be slightly biased...

Bundle Up with a Book!

Hey friends and readers!

Hope your Thanksgiving holiday was a safe and satisfying one!

As we move into the winter season (I’ll be celebrating Christmas, but whatever you happen to celebrate during this time of year), I hope your days are filled with cheer.  Whether you are heading off to visit family like me, or staying home, I wish you a warm and wonderful holiday.  As such, I wanted to ‘wrap up’ the year with some updates regarding Mercenary’s Child and the re-release of Book II with Vulpine:  My editor and I should be resuming work early in 2020...

‘Passer’ the Turkey!

Hey friends and readers!

Just wanted to drop in and wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you happen to celebrate!).  Hope your holiday is filled with good food and better relaxation!  But most of all I hope it is filled with good memories from the people most important to you in life.

And if your holiday is looking down, just remember that no matter the circumstances or the food (whether it’s a burned turkey or just survival on a Prepared Security Ration), someone out there is thankful for your involvement in their life, and that the best meals (and memories!) often come after the worst.  At the very least, know that I’m thankful for all of your care and support, and happy to hear from you, no matter the reason!

As always, hope you gobble down a good book!

Jon

One Week To Go!

One week to go!

Mercenary’s Child releases everywhere in exactly one week, with kindle and paperback versions available on August 30th. Thanks to everyone who shared my posts and picked up a copy of the book – in whatever format you chose to read! For those who haven’t checked it out yet, if you’re a fan of sci-fi, or enjoy action-adventure and likeable characters, this is the book for you! It’s available for purchase via Amazon right through this link, and hopefully in a bookstore near you soon.

For those unfamiliar with my book journey over the last few years, I’m pleased to be published by Vulpine Press in the UK, and really excited about the work I’ve done with my editor Adam Dove to make this the definitive edition of Mercenary’s Child...

Launching soon!

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but this is a big, long update. I apologize in advance, but it’s GOOD NEWS.

As those of you have been this page know, I’ve been working on a book series for a long time, and had used Amazon to self-publish my work. Last year, I was able to attract the attention of a publisher, Vulpine Publishing Group, based in the UK, and work out a deal with them to publish ‘The Phoenix Fallacy’. The exciting news is that Book 1, now known as ‘Mercenary’s Child’, is launching on August 30th!

That’s why I’m here, throwing myself upon the pyres of the internet. I wanted to announce this big date, and ask you to take a look at my book...

Book II Paperback!

Hi loyal readers,

It’s been a while, and it’s totally my fault!  I’ve been super busy, and simply forgot to update everyone about the status of the paperback.  Hopefully you’ve noticed it’s live.  If you haven’t, well…

Book II is out in paperback now!

Sorry about that.  You might find it odd that I somehow forgot to announce this important development.  Well, the reason is that I’ve been very busy with the Vulpine side of things, and we’re almost ready to re-release the new and improved version of Book I which is now known as… (drumroll please)

Mercenary’s Child

I really love the new title, and if you haven’t seen my other posts, this re-release is truly the definitive edition of Book I.  Working with Vulpine has been fantastic, and I can’t wait for this new version to hit shelves...

The Book II Paperback is Almost Here!

Hey loyal readers! It’s been about a month and I thought you deserved an update, even though everything isn’t quite ready for prime time.

Book II is close. I’m in the process of going through proofs to make sure that the paperback version prints correctly, but getting this right takes time, and will probably take a few more iterations to get right. Expect to see it release in March (early March, most likely).

That said, there will be more exciting updates regarding Vulpine in the near future as well, so look for more info about Book I in the coming months. Without reservation, I can say I’m really happy about what is happening on that side, and I hope you will be too!

Happy reading!
