In like a lion…

Hey friends and readers,

Well, things haven’t gotten any quieter since the last post, have they?

I hope you are all remaining healthy, and if you happen to need to stay indoors, I hope you can do so comfortably with some good reading material.  In case one of the many topics du jour has not already taken all of your attention, I wanted to update you on the status of Book II:

I’ve been in contact with my editor over at Vulpine, and while she’s been very busy with several books and the upcoming London Book Fair (although I suppose we’ll see what happens with so many conferences and events being cancelled recently), she’s eager to dive fully into Book II!  Things have been hectic with everything going on recently, so we probably won’t be going at 100% until the end of March, but we’re both very excited to bring the next book to you as soon as possible.  In the meantime, please keep sharing Mercenary’s Child with others – why should you alone have to wait with bated breath when you can inflict the same upon your friends and family!

But all joking aside, as a quick PSA for the Coronavirus, both a word of encouragement and consideration.  First the encouragement: for most people, there is very little to worry about when it comes to Coronavirus.  You might have a nasty few days, but you need not be afraid of it more than the common cold or the flu.  That said, please be mindful of the very young, old, or immunocompromised.  You may only have minor symptoms, but try to avoid exposing others to it as well.  And although I’m sure all of you have the common sense for this, don’t forget to wash your hands, and consider wearing a mask if interacting with others (Update: only do this if you know what you are doing.  The Surgeon General is advising people not to wear face masks because most people end up touching their faces more, and prevent health care providers from getting needed supplies).  Avoid contact with vulnerable people while you have symptoms if you can.  They’ll appreciate your thoughtfulness, and so will their families!

Stay healthy, and happy reading!
