Hey folks,

It’s been a wild few weeks so far for 2021, and it looks like the trend is going to continue, at least for me.  My editor at Vulpine loved my changes, but came back with some new edits as a result, so in order to deliver the absolute best I can to all of you, I’ve got a bit of work to do in the coming weeks.  I’m hoping it won’t take me too long for this smaller, shorter round, but I’ll keep you posted.  In the meantime, I hope you all are hanging in there, whether it’s through the wild stock market ride of the past week, or just in day-to-day events!

It’s already been a wild start to the new year, but I wanted to at least present some good news to all of you: my editor will be sending me any remaining edits late next week!  Depending on the scope, I’m hoping to have Book II back in action soon enough, and I can’t wait to get it into your hands.

Despite the many trials that have been happening here, and around the globe, I hope this little bit of good news will brighten your day.  Remember: keep looking forward, as better things are on the horizon!  I’ll keep you posted on what remains after I get the edits back from Vulpine, and I wish you all the best in the meantime.  Thanks for continuing to support my work during these ‘interesting’ times.  Happy reading!

It’s been a long year, but I hope the past few weeks have treated all of you well.  For those of you in the U.S., I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, even if you were stuck at home.  Remember, even if this year has been tough, we are close to getting through it, especially with news of a vaccine on the horizon.

That said, I have a bit more bad news (though it’s a small thing in the scheme of things).  Unfortunately, Vulpine has had a bit of a book crunch the past month, so I’m still waiting on my next set of edits.  At this point, we are definitely looking at early next year for a formal release.  I’m really sorry for the delay, as I truly wanted to get this out the door and to all of you in time for the holiday season...

Hope the past week has treated you well, even with all the election excitement.  I just wanted to give you an update on the status of Book II.  I’m still waiting to learn about any final changes to the manuscript, as my editor got hit with several sets of books at once.  I hope to hear something in the next week, and if so, we may still have time to get everything out in time for the holiday season, but it will be close!

Apologies for the delay, but I will keep you apprised of the situation as I learn more.  As always, your support is hugely appreciated.  Stay healthy and happy as we enter the winter season, and happy reading!

As promised, it’s time for a major update!  As of last week, I officially shipped off the major edits for Book II back to Vulpine.  I put a lot of heart and soul into them, and there are some significant changes, so I’m excited to get them into your hands.  Personally, my favorite changes have been the ones I believe will bring the characters more to life than ever before.

This marks a major milestone for Book II, as I expect that it is nearly ready for release, and that we might even be able to get the book out just in time for Christmas.

But even though I crossed the finish line of this particular editing marathon, there’s still a few more things to do before it’s all said and done...

Just a quick post this month, as we’re nearing the end of the marathon!  I’ve managed to stay on track (maybe even go a bit faster) so I should be able to finish up my editing and get it sent off for review by early October.  That doesn’t mean it will go straight to print, but I can definitely see the finish line, and I’m just as eager as you are to get there!

But I’m not going to rush.  The improvements I’m making are significant, and I don’t want to cut and run right at the end.  Look for an update in the middle of next month (hopefully saying the edits are in the hands of Vulpine and being reviewed), and in the meantime, keep yourselves safe and healthy!

Can’t wait to get Book II into your hands!

A bit later of a post this month, but I wanted to follow up on last month’s ‘Halfway There’ by saying we’re getting really close now.

I’m trying to complete this round of edits in the next month and half if I can, and I gotta say, I’m excited to finish them up.  Just like Book I’s massive improvement, I’m confident those of you who have previously read Book II are going to find a lot of great new content and a better read overall.  I’m putting out about 25 pages a week right now, so I think I’m about 5 weeks from finishing this round of edits – which would put me right at the end of September/beginning of October.  That said, there will still be some back and forth with my editor, so don’t expect Book II to show up on pre-orders just yet!

In the meantime, I hope all of you ...

It’s time for another monthly update!  It’s taking a while to get through editing, but it’s still moving along every day.  Right now, I’m just over halfway through my edit pass, and just like Book I, it feels like the changes are making a big difference.  There’s still plenty left to do, obviously, but I think that this version will be improved significantly, akin to the differences editing did for the first book.

I know some of you are eager to read the next volume, so I’m sorry you have to wait so long, but once again, I think it will all be worth it.  In the meantime, please keep yourselves safe and healthy, and enjoy a few other good books while you wait!

Just wanted to write a few quick words for all of you as 2020 continues to bring the unexpected:  Just like the life that Janus’ leads, nothing is for certain, and change is bound to happen.  Whatever may happen, however, I hope that you will remain safe and healthy, both physically and mentally.  Remember, every moment is an opportunity, and sometimes unexpected developments can lead to good things, so no matter how you might be feeling right now, no matter how difficult things can be, keep up your hope and spirits!  Opportunity will find you.

That idea helps fuel my current editing, and gives me optimism for the future.  And in life, just like in any great story, there are always twists and turns...
