So I’ve got some bad news: I’ve heard from my publisher that the release is going to be pushed back until January…
I know this will be a big disappointment, but I wanted to give you some details why: It looks like the book won’t be ready for release anyway (final proof, printing, etc.) until mid-December, which puts it right up against Christmas, but too late in the season for most. There are also several high profile sci-fi books releasing in November (any fans of The Expanse?) that frankly, I’m looking forward to reading, and honestly, will probably provide stiff competition. Vulpine wants plenty of time for people to pre-order and get excited for the book, without other distractions – which I have to begrudgingly agree is probably a good policy.
However, I wanted to give you some good news, too: Once the book’s official release (mid-to-late January) is determined, and the preorder page is up, I’ll be hosting a contest for autographed copies of both Book I and Book II! More details will follow, but it will reward you for sharing the book with your friends and family once we’ve got the date locked in. I’m sorry that with all the delays, we couldn’t get the book out before the holiday season, but barring any other unfortunate issues, at least we’ll have a way to start the year off right!
